Services brace for spike in homelessness due to coronavirus unemployment | ABC News

The coronavirus crisis is affecting every sector of society, including the homeless.

As more and more people fall into hardship, the state government has pledged $34 million to prevent homelessness and $10 million to support charities through the crisis.

But frontline services are bracing themselves for a surge in the number of people sleeping rough because of unemployment.
