Singapore REITs: Frasers Logistics, Frasers Commercial to merge in S$1.5 billion deal

It is the first proposed merger of its kind in Singapore, where a logistics and industrial REIT is merging with a commercial REIT. Frasers Logistics & Industrial Trust is proposing to buy Frasers Commercial Trust in a deal worth more than $1.5 billion. The industry has seen some consolidation since the beginning of 2019. Frasers Logistics's planned acquisition of Frasers Commercial will mean the combined enlarged REIT will have total assets worth about $5.7 billion. This propels the merger into the top 10 REITs in Singapore.
It will also have a diversified portfolio of logistics, industrial, office, business park and commercial assets across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the UK.
