SIUe Percussion 2020

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, our Percussion Ensemble Concert tonight at SIU Edwardsville has been canceled. Like many of you, I was disappointed that we could not present the work of our Percussion Ensemble students.
(Our program tonight would have included works by Chavez, Maslanka, Astrand, Trevino and others. Additionally, our guests would have been the Percussion Ensemble from O’Fallon Township High School.)
But the greater good is very important here, and I know our students are doing the best they can in these UNPRECEDENTED times.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone right now.

That all being said, I invite you to spend the next 80 seconds of your life viewing this video of selected images. It is a celebration of the past 10 years of my time here at SIUe. We currently have outstanding students, we have produced excellent graduates at the Bachelor and Masters level, and our program continues to maintain artistic standards. With a combination of visits and residencies from world class Artists and Educators, our Summer Percussion Institute, the Greater St. Louis Marching Percussion festival, our ILMEA preparatory clinic and Bi-State Honor Band festival, SIUe is a great place to study percussion.
