Description

Song Mode is a control surface script extension for the Ableton Push 1 or 2. Taking over User Mode it allows you to select your songs and trigger the scenes within songs based on renaming each scene to include a Song Number eg. (SONG1), (SONG2) etc.

Songs can be made up of unlimited scenes with each scenes colour used to colour the buttons of the bottom half of the Push's button matrix. You can switch between banks of scenes when there are more than 32 by using the Page Buttons.

Renaming a scene to be included within a chosen song is simply done from the controller by selecting the chosen scene then holding down the New button and selecting a song number in the top half of the button matrix.

Song Mode is the invention of KB Solutions, better known as Krazy Baldhead or Pierre-Antoine to his friends.

With a classical training of more than 10 years at the conservatory, Pierre-Antoine Grison also followed scientific studies (Master of Physics, Telecommunications Engineer) before devoting himself fully to his passion: music. For 10 years, he toured the world and released a few albums on Ed Banger Records with his own project Krazy Baldhead, or with other projects : Donso, a mix of electronic and Malian music, or a collaboration with Malian singer Inna Modja. In addition to these activities, he has been a beta and alpha tester for Ableton since 2006, and he naturally became an Ableton Certified Trainer in 2016. With this broad background, he intends to provide solutions to musicians and technicians wishing to use the computer on stage, offering a complete range of solutions: training, consulting, and custom controller design.
