South Korea bans export of face masks amid severe supply shortage
Description
South Korea will ban all exports of face masks from March 6. The COVID-19 outbreak has caused severe shortages, forcing people to queue for hours. Local production of masks will be stepped up. The aim is to produce 14 million per day, up from the current 10 million. The move comes as the number of infections in South Korea passes the 6,000 mark. Nearly 100 countries and territories have imposed entry restrictions on travellers from South Korea.
