The English section for the SSC CGL exam can be broadly divided into four parts - Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, and Verbal Ability. It carries approx., 350 marks. 50 in Tier I, 200 in Mains and 100 Marks in Descriptive (if u choose to write descriptive in English). To score good marks aspirant must have a good command over the Vocabulary and Grammar section.
