#Supergirl is a slightly troubled character for DC Comics. In the most common versions of the characters, Superman has taken a big brother/mentor aspect in his relationship with Supergirl. He’s older, and better assimilated into earth culture as he arrived as an infant, where Supergirl came to earth as a teen, and acted as a buffer against culture shock (in both directions) when she first landed.
