Teacher Movement Today Kolkata||Ssk Msk Parateacher News Today||Madrasha Contractual Teacher update

Today at Dharmatala Rani rashmoni Avenue some contractual teachers arrange a public meeting. Education Minister came in that meeting and gave some valuable speech. But that Teachers became unsatisfied.SSK and MSK teachers and supervisors wanted a salary hike in keeping with provisions of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. They wanted it implemented from April last year, along with determining of the salary structure. Other demands included a pension scheme and extending classes in both categories of schools to Classes IX and X from the current Class VIII.
The state government, sources said, has decided to hike salary for SSK teachers from Rs 5,954 to Rs 10,000 and Rs 10,340 for SSK headteachers. MSK teachers will receive Rs 13,000, up from Rs 8,900, while MSK heads will get Rs 14,000. The salary structure will be implemented from April 2019.
The state government has also decided to bring SSKs and MSKs under the school education department from the panchayat department.
