When discussing the greatest runners and their world record accomplishments, who comes to mind? Maybe Usain Bolt? Or perhaps Kenenisa Bekele. Today, we're taking a deep dive into the top 10 greatest world record breaking runners to ever compete.

For this list we used a few different qualifying criteria:

1) Total World Records Broken
2) Margin of improvement on previous world record
3) Total time spent unbroken
4) World Record Versatility
