TOP TEN MOST DANGEROUS
SPORTS

Sports have always been a great source of entertainment for all the people involved in it. With the
players putting in all the work, and the fans rooting from the sidelines, it has always been a great way to
bring people together and make sure everyone has a great time participating one way or the other.
However, sports are not always as rosy as you might expect and they can get dark, dirty, and downright
dangerous.
In this video, we are bringing the top ten most dangerous sports. From combat sports like boxing to high
adrenaline sports like base jumping, these are the sports that get your heart thumping in your throat
and your blood racing with the fear of imminent danger. Make sure to stick around to find out which
sport has its participants trotting up mountains without any supporting gear.

#10 BASE JUMPING

As if jumping off planes from heights tens of thousands of feet high wasn’t scary and extreme enough,
there are people who think they need a bigger kick. These people have made it a competitive sport to
launch themselves off man-made objects like the tops of skyscrapers, towers, and everything else in
between.
Base jumping is the recreational sport of jumping from fixed objects, using a parachute to descend safely
to the ground. It sounds an awful lot like skydiving but instead of a helicopter or plane, you jump off a
fixed platform. "BASE" is an acronym that stands for the four categories of fixed objects from which one
can jump when participating in this port: B stands for building, A for antenna, S is for span and E is for
earth or earth formations like mountains.
On the surface it might seem safer than jumping off a plane since technically, these platforms do not go
as high as helicopters or planes. However, in reality this is much more dangerous because BASE jumpers
are left with very little time between their starting point and the ground to deploy their parachutes or
deal with any unexpected problems. It was developed by Carl Boenish in 1978 and has grown in
popularity since then. I don't know what Carl was thinking but I'm not sure we even want to find out.

#9 HORSE RIDING

If there was a fun sport that could easily land you in an ICU or in a coma for a couple of weeks or
months, would you participate in it? Well, when I say it like that, your answer would probably be a big
fat no.
However, if I were to ask if you would love to take a nice ride on the back of a sweet horse, you would
not hesitate. Either way the question is posed, avid horse riders would say yes even though they knew
the risks. If you hope to someday own your own personal horse and ride it for fun, consider this: tragic
injuries, sometimes fatal, are caused every year by horse riding accidents. The most common cause of
injury is getting trampled while on the ground near the horse. The hooves of an average horse have
enough power to cause permanent fractures. I don't know about you but that does not sound appealing
in the least bit. Many kids went through that phase of wanting a pony or a charming stallion as a pet. If
only they knew what they were asking for.
A kick from a horse can pack the same punch as that of a small car. The truth is, most horses that are
used to being around people are not violent towards people. Still, animals can be unpredictable and
even a horse like that could get startled and kick if it feels threatened. The best way to keep yourself and
others safe around horses is to respect their boundaries and take note of possible triggers so that you
can prevent accidents. So, before you get horses for sport, make sure it's as safe as it can be. We need
you.

#8 SCUBA DIVING

Scuba diving is an underwater sport quickly gaining popularity around the world. It's not exactly a new
sport in town but back in the day, not everyone was as open to the idea of traveling hundreds of feet
under the water for sport.
When scuba diving, a diver uses a device called a Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus
(SCUBA). This apparatus is completely independent of air supply from the surface above the water and
helps the divers to breathe underwater. Scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas which is
usually compressed air. This breathing gas allows them to have as much freedom of movement as they
want which is often more than surface-supplied divers. They are also able to stay longer under the water
with better endurance than breath hold divers. The danger in this sport is mostly because of the sudden
changes in pressure. Other than the obvious fact that you literally won't be able to breathe if you run
out of gas, these changes in pressure could potentially rupture a lung, ear-drums or damage the sinuses.
