The Best TVs of CES 2020: LG 48-inch CX, Panasonic HZ2000, Samsung Q950TS
Description
We list the TVs that impressed us at CES 2020, such as the Panasonic HZ2000 OLED, the Samsung Q950TS 8K QLED with "Infinity Screen", and TCL's "Vidrian" next-gen Mini LED TV. However, the best of the bunch was the LG OLED48CX OLED TV for the following reasons:
1) 48-inch screen size which can enter and dominate the gaming monitor market;
2) Self-emissive picture quality (true blacks, vibrant colours, near-instantaneous response time and wide viewing angles) that doesn't degrade in low-lag mode;
3) Full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 support, allowing for 4K@120Hz gameplay, Auto Low-Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Nvidia G-sync compatibility.
This video was filmed and uploaded in HDR, so please watch on an HDR display for the best experience. Many thanks to my colleague Adam Fairclough (a.k.a. @EvilBoris) for his help with HDR-to-SDR conversion.
