The history of the largest bar-graph YouTube channels
Description
It's a bar graph video, ABOUT bar graph videos! If I forgot to include any other bar graph channels, let me know. I'm human and I make mistakes too!
This is my first video of the new decade. Wow! Also, I think it's so cool how many data visualization channels have popped up on YouTube lately... each person can put their own unique twist on animated graphs and it's awesome!
**** Explanation blurb at the beginning ****
I only included channels I could find using YouTube search / recommendations. I probably missed a lot, sorry! :(
To categorize YouTube channels as "animated data-viz channels", here were my criteria:
1) Most of the channel's traffic must come from data-viz videos. If it's under 50%, it doesn't qualify.
2) The data visualizations must be animated across a time period. This disqualifies Reigarw Comparisons and others.
3) If a channel switched genres, they were added to this category on the upload date of their first data-viz video.
4) The focus must be less on human-written commentary, and more on the data visualization itself.
**** Corrections ****
I forgot to include these channels:
India in Pixels (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3vpdI7klzLSLNgqZEESZ4g): 69.800 subs
la Vida en un Gráfico (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK8RNCST65pry9i3sht9wEQ) : 67,300 subs
Sorry to you two for leaving you out! If I ever make an updated version of this video, I will include you.
At 4:22, I claimed that 크기로 보는 TOP was the 2nd Korean channel to earn a Silver Play Button. However, if you consider TheRankings to be a Korean channel as well, they're actually the 3rd! Given this, from April 22, 2019 to September 27, 2019, 75% of the top 4 data-viz channels were Korean. That's pretty cool!
Also, any time I state "I uploaded [BLANK] video" in the commentary, I mean that I'm uploading to the Abacaba channel, unless otherwise mentioned!
**** Music ****

I used to play this game all the time back in elementary school!

To find all bar graph YT Channels, I simply watched the ones I knew and tried to scour the "recommended videos" list to find new YouTubers in the genre. Because of this, I may have missed many channels, sorry about that :(
