The Journey To Australia's Top End | Devils Marbles, Daly Waters and Mataranka Springs | Episode 32

In this week's episode, we begin the journey north to Australia's top end.

Our first stop along the way is the incredible and surprising Devil's Marbles. These stunning granite formations appear out of nowhere as you head along the Stuart Highway not too far from Tennant Creek. We spent a good few hours exploring our way around and through some of this impressive landscape. What a top spot.

We roll into Tennant Creek Station, and the Spinifex Ridge Farm Stay not too far up the road. A top little station stay, conveniently located just a few k's out of Tennant Creek. This 1 million acre property is one of Australia's immense cattle stations. It runs this great campsite to encourage tourists to spend more time and money in the local area, ensuring continued services in their town.

The next stop was one of the top end's iconic towns and pubs, Daly Waters. A great stop-off point on the journey north with a lovely caravan park, playground for the kids, cheap fuel, and the fantastic and eclectic pub. We settled in for a few cold ones and enjoyed the atmosphere, despite the initial shock of the crowds!

The following day we're off again and on our way to the impressive Mataranka and Bitter Springs. After a quick overnighter in the National Park campground ( and an early start, we grabbed ourselves a site at the Bitter Springs Caravan Park. We settled in to chill out for a while.

Walking to the springs was the main reason we picked this park. It's a beautiful place to stay, and we can highly recommend this one.
