Emma and Ash meet in the second season. At first Emma and her little brother only know him from riding lessons. Emma finds Ash very boastful and annoying at first because he always wants to explain everything to her. After some time Wilfred, the boss of the Juice-Net-Café, is replaced by him and after she realizes that Ash is quite okay she becomes friends with him. After a while the two even get together. Furthermore, at the end of the second season Emma tells Ash that she is a mermaid, but for Ash this doesn't change anything.
