"Rock and a Hard Place" is a song by The Rolling Stones from his 1989 album Steel Wheels. It is the second single from the album, and remains the most recent of the band's Top 40 billboard.

Accredited to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, "Rock and a Hard Place" was recorded at the AIR Studios in Montserrat and at the London Olympic Studios in the spring months of 1989.
