Artistic Illusion, by TeamArtistic, is an art level that to my surprise, and probably to many others, has not recieved a rating in over 10 months, which just boggles my mind, considering the level of detail and quality that this level has. We start off in a warm enviroment, with grass, water, and the sun shining down on everything, the colors fit this section perfectly and is a great start to everything in my opinion, just a really cozy vibe. After this, we jump straight into a space section, with a more futuristic style to the block design, having neon borders and bright colors, with stars and planets moving in the background as you progress through this part. I always enjoy stuff like this because it always turns out looking great, especially when it looks realistic. We then find ourselves in a mountain landscape, with what appears to be a hermit or a monk, standing atop, looking at the horizon. The fact that every obstacle and block is transparent, to showcase the background was a nice touch, without losing focus on the gameplay. A couple of seconds pass, and we arrive into a snowy mountain section, the thing that I like the most about this, apart from the excellent art in the background, the trees and the mountains, is how the block design stays consistent and in direct relation to what's going on in the back. In this case, the blocks are blue and almost transparent, as if they were blocks of ice. We pass that section and go to the next, a darker setting, where we can see the night sky, full of stars and a beautiful mountain, that makes everything else stand out, along with street lights to illuminate and give a sense of depth. I enjoyed the more abstract block design in this part, having a sort of robotic or alien feel to it. Soon after, we are in a huge metropolis, with the sun in the background, giving everything an orange shade, making the buildings that make up the city look alive. The block design is a bit simpler in this section, but the art that makes up the back makes up for it in my opinion. The final part of the level is most definitely my favorite, a hellscape, full of dark mountains and rivers of lava, with a purple and gray sky that makes it look as if there were volcanoes erupting everywhere. The block design fits this part well, making you feel like you're inside one of them. The very end of this level, is an end card with the names of the creators that took part in making this amazing level, with a really nice background to top it all off. The gameplay is about Easy Demon difficulty, there are a lot of game mode switches throughout the level, which I think keeps things new, so you don't get bored midway through. Most of the level is at about 2 or 3x speed, so it shouldn't be a problem for most players, something I always appreciate in a level is when the difficulty stays consistent throughout, it makes it easier to practice and get used to. I highly recommend this level to everyone, just so you can see every detail up close.
