Weather wise Australia is better by a long shot. It's extremely rare to ever see snow in Australia, and even when you do, it's generally extremely thin, while in Canada half your weekend goes shoveling snow out of your personal spaces. Some people may not like too much heat and it does get bloody hot in some places. But most major cities have a mild weather, and only during extreme peak of summer do you see temperatures like 45°, otherwise it mostly hovers around 20–30°, and some cities like Melbourne dip even lower. So if you can make it through 1–2 months of extreme hot weather, rest of the time temperature is pretty bearable.

Wages are better in Australia if you're an entry level workers. But professional jobs are more easily available in Canada because of the sheer size of the economy that's on Canada's south.
