The search for the next set of queens to represent the #Philippines in the international pageant arena is already in full swing as #BinibiningPilipinas has just declared its official candidates two nights ago.

This year marks the 57th anniversary of the pageant with a significant change. While there have been numerous speculations about the roster of titles at stake, the high quality of ladies making the beeline in #AranetaCity remains unwarranted with so many pageant veterans, crossovers and fresh faces top billing this year’s batch yet again.

After covering the application form submission and final screening, we now reveal our top picks in our first leaderboard :

Leading #SashFactor’s first hot picks is the luminous Vickie Rushton. The actress and former BINIBINI runner up is poised for a major comeback. Pundits are saying she could be the next wearer of Binibining Pilipinas International Crown with her porcelain and doll-like beauty. Let’s see if she maintains the hype in the next few months.

Coming close behind her is another pageant veteran, Maureen Montagne. There is no doubt this multi-hyphen titleholder is a strong contender for any of the top crowns at stake. It’s just a matter which crown will be assigned to her as a testament to her formidability and versatility as a contender.

Next in our list is another familiar face in pageantry. Two-time BINIBINI runner up Samantha Bernardo is trying out for the third and final time. We really love a girl who is loyal and out to conquer her dreams despite the odds. Ahead of everything that will happen in the next few months, we feel she could finally secure her dream title this time around.

In fourth place is the sweet and angelic Hannah Arnold from Masbate. The 24- year old half Filipina/Australian looks so much better now given her growth and maturity as a contestant compared to last year’s stint where she finished Top15. One year in the modeling scene has allowed her to hone her confidence and modeling skills and we are seeing loads of it during the past few days. You just really can’t deny her queenly aura.

Completing our Top 5 for now is Honey Grace Cartasano from Antipolo. Just like Hannah, she was Top 15 finalist last year but has metamorphosed significantly within a span of 1 year. We feel Honey won’t be taking matters sitting down. She has noticeably improved in all aspects and is looking like a true queen. Backed by a solid glam team with a full arsenal of loaded ammunition, It won’t be a surprise if she ends up being part of the final call.

There are also a lot of fresh faces competing for our attention as well. There is Pat Babista from Quezon who reminds of a raw and young Charmaine Elima. Exotic, dusky and full of enigma, we are certainly keeping an eye on her.

Gabby Basiano is also another standout. Her previous national and international pageant experiences recently have proven to serve her in good stead with her class and royal bearing she exudes in the competition so far. She is tall, elegant and well prepared. We are expecting nothing less from her.

Meanwhile, we can never take our eyes off Karie Laurie Mendoza from Iloilo with her charm and luminous beauty. The fresh face beauty has got one of the stunning faces in the competition and she deserves all the attention she has been getting. Fair skin, piercing almond eyes, creamy shoulder blades...we are definitely hooked.

Meanwhile, Hazel Ortiz is stealing everyone’s attention with her exotic kayumanggi skin and modelesque stance in the competition. The former Miss Bikini Philippines is sending shivers in everyone’s spine with her true Filipina beauty , va-va-voom body, statuesque stance. She is wowing both fans and pundits right now. We might be looking at a major darkhorse here.

Rounding out our Top10 is BINIBINI returnee Alexandra Faith Garcia. She was one of the few girls who really stood out during the final screening where she showed off her alabaster skin, enviable figure and stage presence. Three year’s worth of preparation is paying off for this Former Century Tuna Superbods contestant.
