Today we're going to show you the top 10 companies in the world for the period of 1995 - 2019 based on the fortune global 500 list.
The bar chart race presented in the video shows the revenues of the top companies in the world, compiled and published annually by the business magazine Fortune. The estimation of the total revenues of each company on the list is cited in United States dollars, based on their documented assets and statements.
The rankings each year become available annually, so the revenues listed are snapshots taken at that time. These lists only show the top 10 companies in the world for each year.
Key Insights:
1. The world’s 500 largest companies generated $32.7 trillion in revenues and $2.15 trillion in profits in 2018.
2. Walmart is the company to be for 16 years in the top of the list with the top 10 companies in the world.
3. In 1995 Japan had the most companies (6/10) inside the list of the largest 10 companies in the world.
4. Royal Dutch Shell is the only European company to be ranked 1st among the top 10 companies in the world.
5. USA is the country to have the most companies inside the list for all years.
