TOP 10 FACTS YOU WONT EXIST!1

this is probably the single video into which i've put the most time and on which i've worked the hardest.

it all started in april-ish with me having the idea for the first fact (the color scheme one). that one appeared in my mind exactly as it ended up being. i made that whole fact in 1 go. however, as soon as i'd had that idea, i knew that it couldn't be a video on its own; it was too short.

so i decided to do an ironic list video. the title came from a combination of "...amazing facts etc..." and "top 10 $somethings you won't believe exist", making "top 10 facts you won't believe exist". i was always going to add "!1" to the end, but i also had the idea to omit the word "believe", making "exist" sound like a transitive verb. which it isn't.

not long before this (at least i think it was before), i'd (obviously mis)heard someone say "flies can't fly on the moon for exactly the same reason you can't scream on the moon. they can't breathe" and had written it down in my list of video ideas. and when i checked that list and saw this, i just knew it had to go in this video.


i also asked some people i knew if they had some ideas for facts.

they did.

arc drakius suggested the 60second and morning/dawn facts, as well as giving me an idea for a fact that eventually became the "on ganymede, it is illegal to fjdkla;sfjdkls;afjkdls;a" fact.
strawb also suggested the creepy walkers fact, which was kinda just a "this is the first thing i thought of" sort of thing. it didn't fit at all with how the video would go, but i included it anyway because i immediately had an idea for what to do with it.

i should point out that at this point, i/we(?) was/were only writing the script. i intended to almost completely finish the script before starting on the audio or video.

there were also many facts that got cut.
here are some of them:

"3d glasses (real ones not those stupid fake polarising ones) actually allow you to see in 1 extra dimension than the thing you're looking at, so use them in a 3D world to see 4D" -SQ38

br miller also suggested some facts, but i can't find them. they didn't end up getting included, because i didn't know what to do with them or how to make them work with the rest of the video.
