TOP 10 largest bankruptcies in WORLD HISTORY

In 2008 we witnessed the collapse of the real estate market in United States, which caused the global financial crisis all over the world. Some of the biggest companies in the America went out of business in year 2008 or in following years. I believe that six of top ten largest bankruptcies happened because of economy crash in 2008. Since I was just doing a seminar paper on similar topics, I decided to share that with you. Here is a list of the top ten largest bankruptcies in world history:

1. Lehman Brothers (2008)
2. Washington Mutual (2008)
3. Worldcom (2002)
4. General Motors (2009)
5. Cit Group (2009)
6. Pacific Gas and Electric (2019)
7. Enron (2001)
8. Conseco (2002)
9. MF Global (2011)
10. Chrysler (2009)

I believe that topic is quite relavant right now, since we could be rushing into next great recession due to coronavirus (COVID-19). Nobody really knows, what will happen with economy in 2020 after the coronavirus.
