BRIDGES are significant structures most especially for an archipelago like the PHILIPPINES.


Economic activities rely heavily on these bridges to transport products from one area to another. Bridges also make our life simple and easy. We can reach our destination by land, not by the more expensive travel by air or by more risky travel by water.

1. Panguil Bay Bridge
The project, with an original budget of P4.9 billion, is a 3.48-kilometer, two lane bridge that will connect the city of Tangub in Misamis Occidental to the town of Tubod, the capital of Lanao del Norte. It is intended to cut travel time between Tangub City and Tubod to seven minutes from the current 2.5 hours. It will also shorten trips from the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan to Tangub as well as the Zamboanga Peninsula Region.



2. Panay-Guimaras-Negros Island Bridges
The Iloilo–Guimaras–Negros–Cebu Link Bridge is a planned network of bridges in the Visayas in the Philippines connecting the islands of Panay, Guimaras, Negros, and Cebu.


3. Cebu-Cordova Link Bridge
The Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway, also known as the Cebu–Cordova Bridge is a toll bridge expressway under-construction in Metro Cebu, Philippines which will link Cebu City and Cordova.



4. Davao-Samal Bridge
Samal-Davao bridge project is finally scheduled for groundbreaking in July this year. The bridge was conceptualized 40 years ago, and is one of the big-ticket infrastructure initiatives under President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.



5. San Juanico Bridge
San Juanico Bridge or Marcos Bridge is part of the Pan-Philippine Highway and stretches from Samar to Leyte across the San Juanico Strait in the Philippines. Its longest length is a steel girder viaduct built on reinforced concrete piers, and its main span is of an arch-shaped truss design.


6. Agas-Agas Bridge
The Agas-Agas Bridge is a prestressed concrete beam bridge on the Pan-Philippine Highway. The ₱1.024-billion bridge was funded partially by the Japan International Cooperation Agency.



7. Metro Manila Skyway
The Skyway, officially the Metro Manila Skyway System or Metro Manila Skyway, is an elevated highway serving as the main expressway in southern Metro Manila, Philippines, following much of the existing South Luzon Expressway's alignment by going above it.


8. Sacobia Bridge
The Sacobia Bridge, which runs across the Sacobia River in Bamban, connects New Clark City to other districts of Clark, reducing travel time to about 15 minutes.

It is measured at 894 meters long and 29.5 meters wide with six lanes and will be open to motorists in Q1 2020.


9. Macapagal Bridge
Macapagal Bridge is a steel cable-stayed bridge along Mayor Democrito Plaza II Avenue in Butuan, Agusan del Norte that crosses the Agusan River.



10. Marcelo Fernan Bridge
Marcelo Fernan Bridge is an extradosed cable-stayed bridge located in Metro Cebu in the Philippines. It spans across Mactan Channel connecting Mandaue City to Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan Island.
