पश्चिम बंगाल के मालदा जिले में विश्व हिंदू परिषद द्वारा रविवार को आयोजित आदिवासी सामूहिक विवाह कार्यक्रम के दौरान झारखंड दिसोम पार्टी ने हमला कर दिया। जिसके बाद वीएचपी और झारखंड दिसोम पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच हिंसक की झड़प हुई। इस झड़प में कई पुलिसकर्मी और कार्यकर्ता घायल हो गए। वीएचपी द्वारा आयोजित सामूहिक विवाह के विरोध में झारखंड दिसोम पार्टी ने NH-34 को ब्लॉक कर दिया। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि वीएचपी और झारखंड दिसोम पार्टी के सदस्य आपस में भिड़ गए और एक दूसरे पर पत्थरबाजी भी की। दरअसल, जेडीपी के कार्यकर्ताओं ने आरोप लगाया कि वीएचपी उनके रीति-रिवाजों के खिलाफ आदिवासी सामूहिक विवाह का आयोजन कर रही है और आदिवासी लोगों का धर्म परिवर्तन करवाने का आरोप भी लगाया।

Jharkhand Disom Party attacked the tribal mass marriage program organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Malda district of West Bengal on Sunday. This was followed by a violent clash between VHP and Jharkhand Disom Party workers. Several policemen and workers were injured in the clash. Jharkhand Disom Party blocked NH-34 in protest against mass marriage organized by VHP. Officials said that members of VHP and Jharkhand Disom Party clashed and stoned each other. In fact, JDP activists alleged that the VHP is organizing tribal mass marriages against their customs and also accused the tribal people of converting.
