10. Tommy, the grieving dog
When an 18-year old lad in Chennai, India, adopted a brown mongrel dog, little did he know that the
bond between the two will be so strong that even death will not be able to pull them apart!
The kid named Bhaskar, died an untimely death in a road accident and left the whole family grieving for
the unforeseen loss. For his dog Tommy, however, it wasn’t a day or two of mourning, he sat next to his
grave for more than 3 weeks, waiting for his master to come back. His resolve to wait for Bhaskar was so
strong that even the harsh weather conditions of extreme sunlight and heat and then a couple of days
of rain did not make him move.
Tommy stayed by side for over 3 weeks and even refused to eat. However, finally he went back to his
master’s home when Bhaskar’s mother came and convinced Tommy to come back home with her. The
dog still lives with the mother and continues to visit Bhaskar’s grave every day.
9. Toldo, the cat who brings gifts
The story of a cat who visits his master Renzo Lozzelli’s tomb and brings him little presents on an almost
daily basis a year after the man’s death has moved the inhabitants of a small town in northeast Italy.
“He brings little twigs, leaves, toothpicks, plastic cups. A bit of everything really,” the widow of Lozzelli
said in an interview to a local news channel.
The cat is known to visit the grave on its own, while on other occasions is accompanied by the widow.
Despite the distance and enduring the summers and winters took its toll on Toldo, it still goes on to see
its master every single day.
It is unusual for cats to have such dog like behaviors but the love between Lozzelli and Toldo shows us
that anything is possible. Toldo now lives with the widow and her daughter and son in-law and is known
to be super caring of the family, just like its master.
8. Capitan, the loyal German Shepherd

Captain was a German shepherd who sat at his owner’s grave for more than six years. Miguel Guzman,
adopted the pup for his son Damian in 2005 as a gift on his birthday. Little did he know that the dog
would be as attached to him as it would’ve been to his son!
When Guzman died in 2006, Captain went missing from home and the family went onto to search for
the dog. It took them a week to finally find him when they were visiting the graveyard. The mysterious
part was, they never took the dog to the burial site and nobody knew how Captain was able to find the
grave.
They found the dog barking and crying over the grave and he refused to leave the place even after the
family tried over multiple times. Later they decided they will let him be a good boy for his master and let
him stay.
The graveyard authorities reported that the dog never left Guzman’s side and even slept on his grave
through every single night.
Cemetery director Hector Baccega says he and his staff have begun feeding and taking care of Capitan
until the day he died right next to his master’s grave after more than six years of standing guard.
7. Tommy, the heartbroken German Shepherd
Another Tommy, another story of unbroken loyalty. Maria Margherita Lochi had a lot of pets, but
Tommy and she shared a special bond.
