Top 10 Reasons I LOVE Costa Rica! Reason #10 Episode 1

Hello this is Joseph Emanuelli, managing broker of Tres Amigos Realty Group in Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
I have decided to do a Top 10 list of Why I Love Costa Rica and Living in the Papagayo Region. Enjoy the first episode and stay tuned for more!
Lets start off with #10 and work our way down.
My number 10 reason I love living in Costa Rica is that it is not densely populated. Right here in the Guanacaste province, we have roughly 400,000 people. There are 7 provinces in the entire country.
The Guanacaste area is roughly 3,900 square miles. Basically a 100 people per square mile. You may think that is a lot of people but in reality the people are all congregated in the little towns, such a Playa Hermosa, Playa del Coco, Ocotal, or Liberia which is the capital of Guanacaste. Liberia has over a 100,000 people residing in it. Averages can be a bit deceiving.
What I really love is that I am not stuck behind traffic. Since I am originally from New York City, I am really over traffic and over population.
Here it is just beautiful and there are not that many folks here. There is enough that you will feel a sense of community but you don't feel crammed in. This is one of the main reasons I love living in this part of Costa Rica.
Now if you go to the Central Valley of Costa Rica, the whole country has roughly 5.1 millions people and the Central Valley which encompasses many towns and cities is where the Capital of San Jose is. Most folks live there. There are 4 million people in the metropolitan area. So it is quite congested there.
Here in Guanacaste, at the beaches, we have plenty of space. I see plenty of people but I dont need to worry about being stuck in a traffic jam. Here a traffic jam is being stuck while you wait for a herd of cows or goats to cross the road.
This is a very laid back area. If you are looking for a place that is not over populated, then this northern area, Guanacaste, may be right for you! Enough to do, enough services, but not over blown and out of proportion and feeling crammed in.
