Konnichiwa! We show a quick top 10 things to do in Akihabara, the electric town of Tokyo. If you will be visiting for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on a Tokyo family vacation this will serve as a starter guide to get you going!

Akihabara is located in central Tokyo famous for its many electronics shops and is sometimes referred to as Electric Town. Akihabara has also gained recognition as the capital of Japan's otaku culture, with many shops and major establishments devoted to anime and manga dispersed among the sea of electronic stores. On Sundays, Chuo Dori, the main road through the area, is closed off for pedestrians to freely roam between 13:00 to 18:00 (or until 17:00 from October to March).
