Hundreds of TV shows air yearly, but only a fraction of them become hits. At some points in our life, we want to shut the world out and stay glued to our screens for many hours, but while it's easy to hop on a popular show, some lesser-known ones deserve attention. This video reveals ten of the most underrated TV shows to binge-watch.
10. Chuck
The movie Chuck is created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. It was a fantastic show that ran five seasons on NBC. Although it received positive criticisms, it had low viewership. In fact, it was saved from cancellation from dogged fans numerous times. The show's lovers cannot explain their unnatural love for it, but they do know they'll defend it a thousand times over. Following the exploits of Nerd Herd members, Chuck accidentally gets a super-secret database uploaded into his brain. He becomes a national security asset and a risk, but his identity must be kept secret.
His skills enable him to help the government deal with delicate missions worldwide. The show stars Yvonne Strahovski and Adam Baldwin. It is a combination of nerd humor, slight doses of humanity, snappy dialogue, and more. Generally, it is a fun show and makes for an ideal binge-watch either alone or with your lover.

9. Dollhouse
I know you're done hearing stories of Joss Whedon shows that keep getting canceled early. Well, this entry doesn't discuss Firefly but another movie. The heartbreak is still fresh, and I wouldn't bother recalling how we all felt. Dollhouse is another Whedon gem that only a few have watched but cannot help but appraise the intriguing premise, mythology, and acting. The show tells the story of a Dollhouse, an international corporation that boasts of advanced technology.
Their advancement allows them to strip down the human brain and upload new personalities whenever they want. In some cases, desperate people surrender their bodies in exchange for five years of service. The payoff is a huge one, and this is what motivates them. The show features a long list of Whedon favorites and highlights like strong female characters and clever dialogue. If you are looking for a way to heal from the post-Firefly depression, this show serves as a haven. You should go and check it out!

8. Luther
When it comes to Idris Elba's acting skills, anything goes. There's hardly a role he doesn't kill, bury, and host a grand funeral for. We can practically watch him sleep if he released a film on that. Luckily, this actor has not failed to engage his audience in any role he is tasked with, and for this, movie lovers are grateful. Luther aired for three seasons on BBC, and Elba starred as a detective who knows his onions. His roles border around dangerous pursuits like going after all manner of killers and hoodlums in the society.
This TV series is sure to captivate your attention from the first minute, and the production quality is far beyond what you expect. Although the show has ghosted its audience for a while, Elba promised more content was coming in the future. This promise has kept movie lovers on their toes in anticipation of the big announcement. If you are looking for some quality detective entertainment, you know what to watch. Luther readily comes to mind whenever I'm recommending a serious yet engaging series to anyone who wants more than entertainment.

7. Psych
Like most of the movies on this list, you've probably heard of them, but you did pass them off as overhyped. Psych is also one of those movies you may not have seen because you believed it wouldn't be worth your time. I can confidently tell you that this series is one of the funniest you'll ever watch, but since only a few of your friends may have seen it, it's hard to give a verdict. It aired in the USA for six seasons and stars James Roday, a stubborn man with an eidetic memory who pretended to be psychic to help the cops solve complicated problems.
The show also stars Maggie Lawson, Timothy Osumundun, and Corbin Bernsen. It features one of the best inter-character relationships you'll ever see and razor-sharp dialogue. Although it may pass off as too repetitive because of the police procedural, it is one of the most enjoyable shows you can binge-watch. Believe me, your weekend just got even more exciting.
