Characters on kid’s television shows aren’t really supposed to look realistic. They’re supposed to be caricatures, with exaggerated features and mannerisms- it’s what makes them endearing to children. That is, for the most part. You can probably remember, as a child, at least one character from one of your favorite shows that made you hide your eyes every time they appeared onscreen.
