Top 100 Most Populated Cities in the World (2020)

This video shows a comparison of population among the Top 100 global cities in 2020. Most cities are located in Asia and North America, namely in China, India, the United States, and Japan. The population is based on the urban agglomerations of each city.

An urban agglomeration is an urban area, or built-up area, is a human settlement with a high population density and infrastructure of built environment. Urban areas are created through urbanization and are categorized by urban morphology as cities, towns, conurbations or suburbs.
