The UConn men's basketball team got back in the win column Thursday night with a 72-56 win at Tulsa. The Huskies (12-10, 3-6 AAC) grab their first road win of the season and hand the Golden Hurricane (15-7, 7-2 AAC) their first loss in seven games.
Freshman James Bouknight poured in a team-high 22 points, including a 19-point offensive explosion in the second half, and grabbed five rebounds to lead the triumph. Alterique Gilbert aided the UConn offense with 17 points, Isaiah Whaley notched a double-double with 10 points and 12 boards, and Christian Vital rounded out the double figure scorers after adding 10 points and four rebounds of his own.
