As of last week, DMCA takedown requests are now being issued to top streamers. Several top streamers, including Jakenbake and Sodapoppin. In this video I talk to Jakenbake about his DMCA takedown notice and what to do about it. This talk brings into perspective just how difficult it is to deal with these DMCA takedowns, and how broadcasters are losing years of content, VODs, highlights, and Twitch clips on their channels.


I believe this new era of Twitch has changed Twitch forever. Twitch has solidified itself as a livestreaming platform and shows it is incapable of being a reliable place for content to live. I hope streamers learn from what happened here, but I have no idea if they will.


The Twitch DMCA bans are just beginning. Streamers getting DMCA struck will be just the start. There's a lot more coming.
