How do I know my child is ready for kindergarten? If he or she can write some letters. Here are some ways to help your child develop those skills:
• Help your child write the letters in their name beginning with the capital letter and the rest lowercase.
• Have your child write letters and numbers in shaving cream in the bathtub, salt or sugar in a cake pan, or in finger paint.
