Trump calls Schiff "deranged" and a "sick person" in explosive impeachment rant at NATO

When speaking to reporters at the NATO summit in London on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump threw insults at House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff, saying he was a "deranged human being" and a "sick man" who "made up" his conversation with the President of Ukraine's conversation that is in the centre of the impeachment hearings.

Trump was responding to a reporter who asked why the president would not permit Secretary of State Mike Pompeo from testifying in this week's impeachment hearings.

His comments were at the tail-end of a bilateral meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who met with Trump on the sidelines of a major gathering of NATO leaders to discuss the ratification of CUSMA, Huawei 5G, and other mutual interests/concerns.
