Trump: 'We must keep radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country'
Description
US President Donald Trump has told his “keep America great rally” in North Carolina that he will “finally begin to bring our amazing troops home” after signing a peace deal with the Taliban.
Mr Trump used the rally to declare America had “wiped out terrorists” in Afghanistan after having soldiers deployed for the last 19 years.
“After years of rebuilding foreign nations, we are finally rebuilding our nation and taking care of our own American citizens,” he said.
"And as we bring back our troops we are committed to ensuring that foreign terrorists are denied admission to
America in the first place.
"They are not coming here, and if they do we will do bad things to them ... we must keep radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country."
The US-Taliban agreement was signed on Saturday and means 8600 US and allied forces troops will be withdrawn within the first 135 days.
The withdrawal will be “conditions based”, according to the White House and could be stalled if incidents escalate tensions.
