UK health minister tests positive for COVID-19

UK Health Minister Nadine Dorries has tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the first MP in the country to be diagnosed with the virus.

A department spokesperson said she first exhibited symptoms on Thursday, the same day she attended an event hosted by Boris Johnson at Downing Street to mark International Women’s Day.

Ms Dorries has been self-isolated at home since Friday and officials are in the process of informing everyone the MP has been in contact with since displaying symptoms.
