U.S. cases top 1,000, says Johns Hopkins University
Description
The U.S. has over 1,000 cases of COVID-19 and at least 28 people have died from the disease, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. The U.S. has confirmed cases in at least 35 states as well as Washington D.C. Almost half are in Washington state, California and New York, where the governors have declared states of emergency. The first confirmed case was reported in Washington in January, and the case count reached 100 by March 4.
