Virtual Speaker Program 'Utilizing AI to Enhance the Workforce' [ENGLISH]

On August 28, 2020, the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, together with the U.S. Consulate General Osaka-Kobe hosted a webinar to showcase how advanced technology is being implemented to help solve the ongoing issues surrounding workforce diminishment. Dr. Bill Mark, President of the Information and Computing Sciences Division at SRI International, discussed technological developments in this area, specifically the development of AI approaches that have allowed high-level Monozukuri（もの作り) skills from expert machinists to be effectively transferred to a new generation of workers.
