What the World Needs Now Is Love, Austin Ukulele Society

Our February 2020 meeting was held just one day before Valentine's Day, so we couldn't resist learning to play and sing a song all about love -- an uplifting, classic Burt Bacharach/Hal David tune "What the World Needs Now Is Love." Jackie DeShannon was the first to have a hit with it, in 1965. It's a lovely song that has been recorded by a number of famous singers, topped charts around the globe, and has been featured in films. Special thanks to Aaron Lewis who accompanied us on Ubass!
