Where I've really been.

With the rise in access to information through the internet, we've seen a rise in awareness about the vast number of communities and identities that exist different from our own. Unfortunately, much of the screen time given to these communities is created with the members as the butt of a joke. Whether that's depicting Furries as deranged sex maniacs, or stereotyping Adult Babies as weird dudes who can't find girlfriends, much of this content is created with the intent to entertain through laughing at those who are different from ourselves.

As a member of the LGBTQ community myself, I've seen firsthand how harmful this type of stereotyping and "othering" can be to someone who already feels that they are different from the norm.

The goal of On The Fringe is to create entertaining and educational content, without making a spectacle of those living alternative lifestyles. In each episode, I will not only sit down and interview members of various fringe communities and identities, but spend time in each community, doing my best to literally walk a day in their shoes.
