think that depends on what you define as a political party membership.

The CPC is the largest if you are looking at members as people that have done considerable work to become party members(like European parties with formal, dues paying members).

BJP is larger in terms of registered members, but they are a party in a very large country. The democratic party in the US generally counts all registered democrats as members. Registering as a democrat in the US is a tiny commitment compared to becoming a CPC member. I think the BJP counts membership more like the US Democrats rather than the CPC.

To really compare this, we need something to a uniform definition of membership. I think if we had that, the CPC would be larger.
