The Bible Taught Me which Religious Practices Were Made Up by Men - Top 10 Ways the Bible Changed My life #5

I get it. Throughout history, the Bible and Religion has been used to oppress millions and entire generations. In this video, I discuss how reading the Bible makes you aware of which religious practices were made up by humans, and which God actually requires of us. That’s not to say say if it’s not in the Bible, then you shouldn’t do it. But more so to unburden you, like Jesus did when he addressed the people who were too burdened by the Pharisees made-up rules and practices (Mark Chapter 2).

    Points discussed:
How Not Knowing Makes You Vulnerable (R. Kelly and Epstein Victims) - 00:47
How Religion Can Be Oppressive - 3:18
How Martin Luther and Access to the Bible Ended the Dark Ages - 6:19
How Jim Jones and David Koresh Preyed on the Vulnerable - 7:54
Why I Used to Hate Religion Myself - 11:02
How I Got Over My Hate for Religion - 20:21
We weren’t Created for the “Sole” Purpose of Serving God - 23:56
