This video is one of the most well-researched, time intensive videos I've ever made. Ever since the Twitch enforcement problems started some months ago, I've thought about making this video. The way that Twitch bans are handled and how the system works is one of the most misunderstood issues.


Twitch doesn't do an incredible job of communicating. They haven't clearly painted out how their enforcement and trust and safety actually work. I wanted to put in the time to build out the whole decision making process behind Twitch and their decisions behind bans.



Hopefully we address some of the main questions with Twitch bans:
1) Why do Twitch bans happen?
2) What is with the perceived inconsistency of Twitch bans?
3) Why do some people like Alinity not get banned on Twitch?
3) How does the system actually work?

A lot of people blame inconsistency on behalf of Twitch. I think Twitch's ban inconsistency is a product of the system. There's a lot to improve with Twitch's communication and how we engage with it. I'm hoping this is a full breakdown of Twitch bans, how enforcement works on Twitch, and how we can engage constructively on it.
