ABOUT AVA
Ava Hoekstra, singer and actor, is 15 years old and finishing her 9th grade year at home during the Coronavirus pandemic. She has been humming tunes and singing since before she could talk and has trained vocally since the age of 7. Ava enjoys performing pop, R&B, folk and classical music but her primary genre is Broadway. She fell in love with musical theatre at the age of 10 when she was cast in her first professional production at Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) in Salt Lake City. She has been very busy since then. Her favorite musical role to date was Dorothy in THE WIZARD OF OZ at the Hale Centre Theatre (HCT) in Sandy, Utah. As the understudy to Lexi Walker, Ava was honored to have performed in nearly 40 shows throughout the production’s run. Past productions at HCT also include MY SON PINOCCHIO and THE HEART OF ROBIN HOOD. Most recently, Ava played Winnie Foster in TUCK EVERLASTING at the Hale Center Theater in Orem, Utah. She also portrayed Small Alison in the regional premier of FUN HOME at Salt Lake Acting Company. Ava’s additional credits at Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, IT HAPPENED ONE CHRISTMAS, OLIVER! and THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES. Ava has also performed the national anthem at events including the Salt Lake Bee’s at Smith’s Ballpark, the Melissa Etheridge and REO Speedwagon concerts at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater and the IBU Biathlon World Cup at Soldier Hollow. Ava has competed locally and nationally in singing competitions, winning several top honors. In 2019 Ava finished in the “Top 10” singers in her division at the CS Music Vocal Competition in Chicago, Illinois. Ava is also a proud member/soprano with Rise Up Children’s Choir (RUCC) appearing as a soloist in music videos “Big”, “Spirit” and “Show Yourself”. ABOUT THE PIANO GAL
Sara Arkell, 17, is an award-winning pianist and YouTuber (“The Piano Gal”), known for her viral videos that have been viewed over 100 million times. Sara is a classically trained pianist who has won the Salt Lake Piano Competition and Utah State’s Piano Festival multiple times. She also took home the Audience Choice Award at the Utah Music Awards in 2015. Sara loves to perform at corporate events, firesides, and especially weddings, because what girl doesn’t love being at a wedding?! Through her music and the hashtag she created (#FindYourNote) she encourages others to find their God-given talent and use it to bless others.In 2015, Sara was invited to Japan by Fuji TV to perform with eight world-renown musicians in a flash mob where she performed a backwards version of her viral music video. It was an experience of a lifetime as she enjoyed not only her first airplane flight but her first earthquake as well. She has also performed at the Sandy Titan Awards ceremony where she met Elders Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Gary E. Stevenson. Other performances include a visit to Idaho for the Distinguished Young Women program, and multiple performances for the LDS Church, most recently a performance at RootsTech in March.

She has a YouTube channel with over 140K subscribers and loves making music videos! She is currently working on her first original song and hopes to write many more.
