Today Xiaomi celebrates 10th anniversary!
Xiaomi was founded on 6th April 2010, in which the founding members and then employees shared a symbolic meal (Xiaomi porridge) together. According to Lin Bin (Co-Founder and President), the small team of 13 people present during the founding day had contributed greatly to the company and still play important active roles.
Xiaomi has since been one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world. It is currently the top selling smartphone brand in India and is also relatively popular in its home country, China. The company was also one of the first to successfully pull off the online operations business sales model, where the company initially only sold its handsets online with little to no expenditure being incurred on advertising. The list of achievements goes on as the company has undoubtedly seen great success over the course of the decade.
