In Your Life!
There are a great number of insane things that happen in the world in just a single minute. Sadly, you obviously
can’t witness them all. Wouldn’t it be amazing if you could see all the crazy things happening everywhere all at
once to entertain you and keep you amused for days?
Well, that’s what we’re here for. Hey there, you! This is 100M and we are back again with another video. This time,
we’re showing you ten crazy things you will see for the first time in your life.
I’m excited to show you these things so hang on and make sure to keep your eyes peeled for number 1. Find out
why this Indonesian island has possibly the most innovative preventive method for quarantine. Let’s get right in!
#10 Green Snow
There are quite a few staple things that we were taught in our earlier days of school that kind of don’t change. For
example, the sky is blue, the grass is green, and the snow is white. However, with the rate at which things are
going, that last statement might be under threat.
Coastal Antarctica has seen a very curious phenomenon taking place over the last decade on snow. The green
snow that spreads across a large portion of the shores of coastal Antarctica is something to marvel about. The
snow is such a vibrant green scene that it can even be seen from afar off in outer space.
Now, now, not to worry, we won’t be ruining any childhood beliefs you have. At least, not today. The reason why
the snow in this region of the Antarctic is this color is a rather sad one. Due to the general climate crisis and global
warming, the planet has started to heat up over many many decades. This warming of the planet has then become
a suitable habitat for special green algae to grow and thrive.
The algae are microscopic but there are now so many of them that they form the continuous green spread that
you can see. The more global warming progresses, the more these algae grow. So, do us a favor, and do your part
in stopping the climate crisis. You’ve got this!
#9 Flying Spiders
Honestly, I don’t even know what to say. There are only a few things more terrifying than finding a spider creepily
staring at you from a corner in your room. What if we told you that these creepy crawlies are now suddenly
learning how to fly? Oh, the horror!
However, that is the case a specific type of spiders called Larinoides sclopetarius, quite a mouthful isn’t it? More
commonly, they are known as bridge spiders or gray cross spiders and are frequently found in high rise buildings in
Chicago in the United States.
These spiders actually do not fly but this spectacular thing they do does seem pretty close enough. They literally
spin webs that look like balloons which are then carried by the wind to wherever and sometimes, over a great
distance. Imagine just going about your day and a spider chilling on a tiny floating web glides right by your eyes.
Geez.
#8 Black Apples
Apples are a popular kind of fruit. In fact, one of the most popular if I dare say so but not many people know that
there are several types of apples, some of which might surprise the bejeezus out of you. You have the red apples,
the green apples, the yellow ones, and even the pink. A color you might not be familiar with is black. That’s right,
there are black apples.
Now, if you’re a total emo at heart or the color black just tickles your fancy, then this might become your best fruit
yet. Black diamond apples are a rare variety of apples. They only grow in one place in the entire world, a small city
idyllically lodges in the mountains of Tibet, an autonomous region in China.
The reason for this spectacular color of these apples is due to the peculiar weather conditions in this Tibetian
location. They receive a lot of ultraviolet light during the day and when the night comes, the temperature
fluctuates so dramatically, that this on and off phenomenon gives their skin a deep, dark color. The insides are still
white and bright like other apples but the taste is exquisite and as you would expect, exotic things don’t come
cheap. These apples cost more than a pretty penny.
Technically, in the right light, these apples are more of a very deep, dark purple but they generally look black. I
don’t know about you, but I think these apples would be the bomb at any Snow-White-themed party.
#7 Snow Maze
The next thing on this list is something that would probably make Elsa tingle with uncontrolled glee. In Zakopane, a
small resort town in southern Poland, there sits a magnificent park called the Snowlandia Zakopane park. Here you
will find the largest snow labyrinth the world has ever seen.
