10 reasons why Trump Lost the Presidency.
Statistics placed Mr. Trump on the winning strike, as polls carried out, turned out that 56% of the Us population believed in his re-election. In hindsight, they may have been inevitably wrong. Trump put his best foot forward in his campaigns and pre-election preparations. Unfortunately, due to some operational blenders his and the governance of the Country brought about his downfall. Mr. Biden made great advances from his shortcomings emerging the winner. We will take a peek at the top ten reasons that led to his loss. Stay tuned.
10.Covid-19 pandemic.
The coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating effect on lives and an even greater one on the U.S economy. No one blames Trump for the pandemic though, they have been skeptical about how he has handled the management of this situation. The death toll has been about 100,000 and is still on the rise. Trump downplayed the state of health following this pandemic even after he contracted the virus. He claimed that this disease will disappear like the wind. This reduced his popularity from 56%to 37%. Joe Biden used this shortfall to his advantage creating a clear and scientific way of dealing with the pandemic in the case that he is elected as president. He was quick to use the podium of the debate to showcase his intellect and map out a draft on how they would handle the management of the health sectors during these hard times. While Trump just used the opportunity to shadeJoe about how he wears a mask at all times. Many people started to see Trump as risque, especially because he had not long ago been infected with the virus and was not putting in any efforts whatsoever to prevent infecting others or reflecting himself.
9.Changing the form of the main political party.
Trump has some limitations as a politician. His greatest weakness is that he’s strong in intergroup politics but is really weak in intraparty politics. In his lightning presidential years, he changed the form of one of the main political parties which was a bit skeptical. Trump due to his weakness failed to look for support outside his base which was outrageous for a politician like himself. One who disliked a majority of the voter population. According to demographics ahead of this election, it was clear the trump would lose if everyone voted the same as in 2016. His unpopularity has been racist comments among the minority including suburban women and the educated young voters. The difference in this prediction of Trump’s loss is due to white voters. His popularity among them had fallen by about 15%.
8.Less is more campaigning.
Generally in his previous campaign strategy, Trump was able to win the hearts of Us citizens even more compared to his most recent contest. He only focused on garnering the white man's vote. This strategy dearly failed him since the US population consists of a vast variety of races. From the Latinos to the black Americans to the jews etc. Had he distributed his campaigns better, we might have had a different outcome. Unfortunately, Trump has remained blaming the regime and the electoral system for his downfall.
7. Mishandled his greatest test.
Over the years his greatest test came when a pandemic hit the world testing every leader and every person in the world. With a death toll of over 200000 and more than a thousand new infections that are constantly rising. It seems that Trump and his administration have failed in curbing it or managing it. The health sector is in a crisis and the economy is at its tipping point.
6. Advantage on the economy
The greatest advantage that Trump had over Biden was that people were confident in his ability to keep the economy strong no matter what. However, since the beginning of the pandemic, Trump has been unable to keep the economy afloat and there has been a recession. Many people lost all faith in him after this and opted to vote for Joe Biden instead. Over the first three years, he seemed to have keyed in the secret to an increasing economy by cutting down on taxes and imposing some deregulatory methods that caused a rise in the stock market. Also, the country enjoyed a very low rate of unemployment over those few years since his election.
Unfortunately, when the country fell into a recession Trump didn't use some of the tools close at hand to regain control of the economy. Some relief bills that were passed by the congress helped in keeping some businesses open and also increased some household incomes.
