10th April Church Service | Good Friday

In Mathews 27:27-31 The way soldiers mocked at Jesus .
They took them to governor's palace and the whole company gathered round him . They stripped off his clothes and out a scarlet robe on him . They made a crown out of thorny branches and placed it on his head ,they knelt before him and mocked , They said long live the king of the Jews!
They spat on him and took the stick and hit him over the head , after that they put his own clothes back on him .
To saves and what we were ought to suffered but Christ took it all on himself ! So that we can have eternal life !
Crucifixion is the highest punishment one can ever have !
They forced Jesus to carry the cross
John 19:16 So he delivered him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus !

John 19:19 Pilate gave letter and it was written in three languages Hebrew, Latin and Greek .

Mark 15:16-29
People passing by shook their heads and hurled insults at Jesus : "Aha ! You were going to tear down the Temple?!”

Mark 15:31 he saved others but he cannot save himself .
Even the criminals also insulted Jesus
The people present at the cross were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the wife of Zebedee!

There are three types of people who became the witnesses of Jesus’s death in the negative manner:
1. The one’s that went near and mocked Jesus. And they sat down there and divided his clothes amongst themselves by casting lots and mocked Jesus.
2. The high priests mocked Jesus and said that, "You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
3. One of thief hanging on the cross along with Jesus said, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!”

There are also 7 characters who became the witness of Jesus’s death in the positive manner :
1. Judas Iscariot : one of Jesus’s disciples who deceived Jesus and handed Jesus over to the Pharisees and High priests and led to the crucifixion of Jesus; The same Judas realises his mistake and he repents and goes back to the Pharisees and high priests and confesses his sin. He says, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood!”
2. Pilot : The Roman Governor. Three times he states that I do not see any guilt in this man. He confesses it thrice that he does not feel the accusation on Jesus to be right.
3. Pilot’s Wife : She shared her views with her husband. In Matthew 27:19 the bible states, “Besides, while he was sitting on the judgement seat, his wife sent word to him, "Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream."”
4. ‭‭King Herod : even Herod doesn’t find any guilt in Jesus and he sends Jesus back to pilot without any punishment.
5. High Priests : They had to create false witnesses so that they could blame Jesus because they knew that Jesus was innocent and had no guilt in him.
6. The thief on Jesus’s side : He witnesses for Jesus saying, ““But the other rebuked him, saying, "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
7. The Centurion at the Tomb : After Jesus’s death When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

And above all, the events that occurred after Jesus’s died on the cross :
- Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
- And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.
- And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.
- The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”

It's your personal decision will make your life more blessed and fruitful , the life submitted to Christ is never been limited to self but always blessed for others as well!

In Matthew 16:24 Jesus tells his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
The meaning of Christian : CHRIST-I-A-N which can be best defined as “Christ I Am Nothing.”
Self denial is the exercise of Christian faith Journey.

Today, on this Good Friday, let’s give up on our Self importance and follow Jesus in his ways. Jesus who was innocent and pure and had no sin in him, he suffered all this just because we can be saved by his blood. Just because we can have an eternal life, he carried the cross on his shoulders. He paid for our sins.
Now the choice is ours! Are we ready to repent for our sins and be saved by his blood? Are we ready to carry our crosses? Are we ready to
