The reality check for most businesses is you do need organic traffic to survive and it doesn't just arrive because you have a sparkly new website. So at some point or another a business owner will realise he will need SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

For Wordpress owners , one of the most useful tools to help optimise a web site page for a set of keywords is the wonderful Yoast plugin.

The grim reality is new web sites don't suddenly find traffic. If you build a shop in a desert, their is no footfall. You need your shop where people go, the mall, shopping centre or high street. In a similar manner a website needs to be found on search terms where traffic exists.

Some SEO companies promise, I can get you first on this set of keywords. Well let me blow this apart, so can I, in fact so can anyone who knows a little about SEO. But what this is doing is telling you just half the story. If the keywords have no traffic because nobody on planet earth is using that key phrase in a search engine then your business might as well be in that desert!

Keep Branding to the fore by updating local and social information.
This year google plus was withdrawn, so use Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook YouTube, GMB, blog. Update regularly, this improves your branding and awareness. Branding is more and more important, it improves your CTR. CTR is an important measurement on Google analytics.
