99-year-old WWII veteran receives guard of honour after COVID-19 recovery
Description
A 99-year-old veteran of World War II was discharged Friday from hospital in Doncaster after recovering from the coronavirus.
Albert Chambers, who survived three years as a prisoner-of-war thanked his nursing staff in a video released by the NHS.

“I appreciate every bit you’ve done for me, you couldn’t have been better,” he said.
Mr Chambers, who will turn 100 in July, also received a guard of honour from the NHS staff for his COVID-19 recovery.
