Description

American Chopsuey is a delightful preparation of crispy fried noodles served with veggies and sauce.

Ingredients:

Tomato ketchup- 2 cups
Red chilli sauce- 2tsp
Soya sauce-2tsp
Sugar- 2tsp
Corn Flour Starch- 3tsp
Water- 3 cups
Vinegar- 3tsp
Cabbage- 200gms
Carrots- 100gms
Capsicum- 200gms
Onions- 100gms
Salt- to taste
Oil- 2 tsp
Boiled boneless chicken-150 gms
Boiled noodles- 100 gms
Egg- 1 nos
Fried noodles- 300gms


Method:

To make Fried Noodles :

- Boil the hakka noodles in water for about 10 minutes and then drain out the water.
- Then fry the noodles till they are brown in colour

To make sauce:

- In a saucepan
add the ketchup, Red chilli sauce, Soya sauce, sugar, cornflour, vinegar, and water and mix all the ingredients together.
- Bring it to a boil and keep whisking the ingredients to avoid lumps.
- Boil the sauce until it becomes think and then keep it aside.

To make veggies:

- Heat oil in a wok and add the onions, capsicum, carrots and the cabbage and saute these veggies.
-Stir-fry the veggies on a high flame for about a minute.
-Add the pre cooked boneless chicken to the veggies.
- Then add the Mix sauce (that you prepared previously) to the veggies and stir well.

- Add the boiled hakka noodles and salt to taste and give it a final stir.


For plating:

- Before serving, pour the gravy onto the fried noodles.
-For the final touch place the fried egg on top of it.
- The delicious American Chopsuey is ready to be served.
